Today a very special client came in for a workout and as always worked hard, smiled and talked sports. Alec Souder has been coming into Fitlife for the last 5 years and has won the affection of staff and members alike. His parent, Anne and Jay, along with his grandfather Dick are all members here and have been some Fitlife Health Systems biggest supporters. We are going to return the favor by getting involved with the Fragile X Foundation.
On Saturday May 12th Fitlife is hosting a golf tournament to benefit the Fragile X Foundation at golf tournamet at Orange Tree golf club. The Souder family has been affected by this syndrome and are highly active in the Foundation as it has affected their family.
Fragile X syndrome is a genetic disorder that causes mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. About 1/3rd of those affected have features similar to autism including delayed speech and difficulties with social interaction. It affects males more than females and their is no cure. Early diagnosis is imperative to provide therapies for developing a full range of skills.
We hope that you will consider supporting us by participating as a player, hole sponsor or through a tax deductible donation. Please consider sharing this with any of your friends, co-workers or family members. Visit the web site to get involved! https://give.fragilex.org/event/fore-fragile-x/e174563
Have a great day and thank you for getting involved in this wonderful opportunity.
