Change is constant in life as well as in work and this fall FitLife experienced it first hand. As most of you know by now, Ashley Stein received her MBA from Grand Canyon University and has made a career change moving on to a position with Shea Homes. We all will miss Ashley and wish her success in her new endeavor. With her departure came an opportunity for us to add a new member of our team – Athletic Trainer, Hannah Gray.
Last spring I met with Hannah regarding an Athletic Training position at Salt River High School. I was very impressed with her and looked forward to adding her to our staff. Unfortunately, the position didn’t materialize and I thought she would find something here in the Valley or back in her native state of Michigan. When Ashley gave her notice I asked FitLife staff member Bart Anderson if he knew of anyone that I could contact and he mentioned Hannah. I was pleasantly surprised to hear she was available and asked her if she would discuss a full time Athletic Training position in the office, fortunately she accepted. If you haven’t had the chance to meet Hannah, when you do I’m sure you’ll feel the same way.
Hannah grew up in Grand Rapids, MI and attended Grand Valley State University. While at Grand Valley she worked with the football team and interned in a sports training facility similar to FitLife. Hannah received her Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training and graduated top of her class earning the “Student of the Year” award. After graduating, Hannah traded the cold gray overcast skies of Michigan for the beautiful warm sunny days in the Valley of the Sun to do her post professional graduate work at AT Still University in Mesa. This past May she completed her Masters in Athletic Training. During her time at AT Still, Hannah worked at Xavier College Preparatory as an assistant athletic trainer. Hannah is a Member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and is a Licensed Athletic Trainer in Arizona.
Please join me in welcoming Hannah Gray to FITLIFE! I hope you have enjoyed learning about our newest team member. Have a safe and healthy weekend!
